Nevada brothel owner and reality TV star Dennis Hof has died at 72, local news station KLAS reports. Hof—who was running for a Nevada state Assembly seat—died Tuesday morning at his Love Ranch South brothel, according to his campaign manager, Chuck Muth. The Washington Post reports that Hof died in his sleep after a celebration with porn star Ron Jeremy, ex-Arizona sheriff Joe Arpaiom and Americans for Tax Reform founder Grover Norquist. Hof was featured on the HBO series Cathouse, which documented the lives of workers at his six brothels. Hof also ran a successful primary campaign in Assembly District 36, and would have faced Democrat Lisa Romanov in the November general election.
