A DHL cargo plane broke in half after crash landing at Costa Rica’s Juan Santamaria international airport on Thursday, closing the airport for several hours as workers removed the fuselage from the runway. The pilot had requested to make an emergency landing after a mechanical failure on the Boeing 757-200 cargo aircraft, marking the third time this week that Boeing jets have experienced mechanical issues. The crew survived the spectacular crash.
