A lawsuit filed against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs by a former collaborator was amended on Monday to include new details about the alleged lengths the hip-hop mogul went to harass him, including hiring a private investigator to try and dig up “dirt” on him. The amended complaint, first reported by NBC News, alleges that plaintiff Rodney Jones, also known as Lil Rod, learned last week that a private eye approached and tried to bribe a close friend of his to “paint mr. Jones in a bad light.” The investigator, whom Jones claims is linked to Combs, allegedly harassed Jones’ friend to the extent that they are now afraid for their safety. Representatives for Combs did not immediately respond to NBC News’ request for comment on Monday about the new private eye claims. In his initial suit, filed last Monday, Jones accused Combs of sexual harassment, trafficking, drugging, and threatening him. The sixth person to accuse the rapper of abuse in recent months, Jones claimed he had accumulated hundreds of hours of video showing Combs and his friends engaging in criminal activity. Combs’ attorney, Shawn Holley, said at the time that Jones was “nothing more than a liar who filed a $30 million lawsuit shamelessly looking for an undeserved payday.”
