The live-in caretaker of an Oklahoma veteran is charged with murder and desecration of a corpse after cops found his charred body in the backyard, according to reports. Denise Lynn Grass, 43, stands accused of killing Elvis Dry, a 61-year-old amputee who uses a wheelchair, the Tahlequah Daily Press reports. Dry’s burned body and wheelchair were discovered on Jan. 20, after Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office made a welfare check. Grass allegedly told people that she set him on fire on Jan. 17. He hadn’t been seen since Jan. 15. Dry’s body was identified after the Oklahoma Chief Medical Examiner’s Tulsa office matched the wheelchair’s serial number to him.
