In an effort to start fundraising for President Trump’s re-election, donors will see their names flashed on the campaign’s livestream of the State of the Union. In a “fundraising solicitation” released Monday, the president offered those willing to pay a minimum of $35 the chance to see their names displayed on-screen during the website’s stream of the speech. The fundraising webpage also features the option to donate as much as $2,700—the maximum donation amount allowed per election. “This is a movement. It’s not about just one of us. It’s about ALL of us,” it reads. “Which is why your name deserves to be displayed during Tuesday night’s speech.”
