Flight attendants were searching for a doctor aboard a JetBlue flight bound for Cabo San Luis when Dr. Mehmet Oz volunteered himself to help an unconscious passenger. Oz stepped up to the plate, assisting the man the “usual triage” including a physical examination and taking his vitals, according to TMZ who spoke to him. Oz said the man recovered after getting a special treatment of orange juice. According to Oz, the man fainted due to low-blood sugar levels—drinking the orange juice increased his blood sugar levels. Passengers told TMZ that Oz even gave the man his phone number in case of another emergency. Oz has a storied history of helping tourists with medical emergencies. In 2021, he stepped in to defibrillate a man who had collapsed in the Newark Airport.
