The Wal-Mart truck driver who crashed into a vehicle carrying comedian Tracy Morgan last year had been awake for 28 hours, federal investigators reported. The National Transportation Safety Board cited that as one of their concerns during a hearing about the crash and new safety recommendations. The NTSB also cited the truck’s speed as a potential reason for the severity of the accident that seriously injured Morgan and killed fellow comedian James “Jimmy Mack” McNair. Morgan settled a lawsuit related to the crash in May, while the driver was charged with death by auto and multiple counts of assault by auto.
