The report also said that the announcement is set for the “coming weeks.” Rice has previously indicated that she has no interest in seeking the office. In a recent interview, she went so far as to say, “There is no way I would do this.” But her recent speech at a retreat for Romney donors and Ann Romney’s comments that they are considering a female VP have fueled speculation that Rice may be selected.
