Stan Saxon, drummer for long time country group the Don Kelley Band, got a little too into the music during a gig last Friday at Nashville staple Robert’s Western World. Half way through Johnny Cash’s “Ghost Riders in the Sky,” Saxon flips backwards, through the large front window of Robert’s and onto the sidewalk of the city’s iconic Broadway Street. Unfazed, the drummer got back up and finished the set, then went across the street and played another four hours.

“My ear monitor pulled me back, felt like somebody grabbed me by the shirt and yanked me to the ground. It was like the window wasn’t even there. The next thing I knew I was looking up at shards of glass going, ‘how did I get out here’,” he told a local news outlet.

Turns out Saxon, who fell six feet, actually broke a rib. But that didn’t stop him from coming back and playing again the next night.
