On the bright side, this would get The Ed Show off the air: MSNBC talk-show host Ed Schultz tells The Huffington Post that he may run as a Democrat for the Senate seat being vacated in North Dakota by Byron Dorgan. Schultz says that Democratic leaders in his state have approached him and says “there is a lot to think about.” Schultz has several ties to the state, though entering the race would require him to drop his new spot in MSNBC’s evening lineup.
