A photo of an egg is now the most-liked picture on Instagram, trouncing previous record holder Kylie Jenner by approximately 11 million likes. CNBC reports that the photo, featuring a simple brown egg on a white background, first hit Instagram on January 4 courtesy of the account @world_record_egg. “Let’s set a world record together and get the most like post on Instagram,” the caption read. “Beating current world record held by Kylie Jenner (18 million). We got this!” As the post indicated, the previous record holder was Kylie Jenner, who posted a photo announcing the birth of her daughter Stormi in February 2018. On Sunday night, the post broke Jenner’s record, and has now received more than 29 million likes. Jenner responded to her dethroning Sunday night by posting a video of her cracking an egg on the sidewalk. “Take that, little egg,” she said. It remains to be seen if the egg’s new fame is all it’s cracked up to be.
