An elderly couple who went missing in the forest on Valentine’s Day survived in a ravine on a puddle of water for a week until they were rescued. “This is a miracle,” Marin County Sheriff’s spokesman Brenton Schneider said. Loved ones of Carol Kiparsky, 77, and Ian Irwin, 72, were losing hope that they would be found but on Saturday morning, a search party spotted them in an overgrown drainage ditch in Inverness Forest, the Mercury News reported.
