Emirates Flight With 10 Sick Passengers Quarantined at JFK

Emirates airline confirmed that about 10 passengers aboard flight 203 from Dubai to New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport “were taken ill.” According to the airline, “On arrival, as a precaution, they were attended to by local health authorities. All others will disembark shortly. The safety & care of our customers is our first priority.” Initial reports claimed that around 100 of the flight’s 500 passengers had fallen ill, and New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio confirmed to NBC New York that the super-jumbo jet had been quarantined upon arrival. Port Authority Police and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention officials reportedly met the plane on-scene.
