ESPN commentator Stephen A. Smith was handed a one-week suspension after he made controversial comments on his show. Smith was discussing the NFL’s suspension of the Baltimore Ravens’ Ray Rice and implied that women should be blamed for domestic violence, cautioning them not to do “anything to provoke wrong actions.” He apologized on Twitter and in a pretaped segment, saying it was “the most egregious error of my career.”
