Ratko Mladic, the former Bosnian Serb army warlord, has been found guilty of genocide for some of the worst atrocities committed during the Bosnian war. He was sentenced to life in prison during the U.N. tribunal on Wednesday. The 74-year-old, dubbed the “Butcher of Bosnia” was charged with 11 counts, including crimes against humanity. Mladic was found responsible for the massacre of at least 7,000 men and boys in 1995 and for the siege of Sarajevo, during which more than 10,000 people were killed.
