News anchor Ed Henry and his co-host, Jenn Pellegrino, were cut from Newsmax’s presidential debate coverage on Thursday following a Mediaite report on Henry’s history of alleged sexual misconduct. Media insiders who spoke with Mediaite told the outlet that Henry had been kicked off of the Newsmax panel after the report was brought to the attention of Newsmax executives. The article detailed Henry’s history of sexual misconduct allegations, which span his tenure at both Fox News and Real America’s Voice. Newsmax took particular umbrage with sexually explicit texts that the host had allegedly sent to a younger staffer when he worked at Real America’s Voice. The staffer, who filed a complaint against Henry in 2022, alleged that Henry had sent a picture of himself with a stripper with the message “I will be busy next couple of days,” according to Mediaite. Henry, while already in New York on Wednesday preparing for the debate, was informed by Newsmax that he would not be hosting, according to sources close to the situation who spoke to Mediaite. Pelligirino was also pulled to create the appearance that the change in programming was not related to the report, according to Mediaite.
