Duke, a Holocaust denier, white supremacist, and former grand wizard of the KKK, took to Twitter to express his delight with Trump’s remarks, defying all rules of capitalization and punctuation in his excitement. “Great Trump Speech, America First! Stop Wars! Defeat the Corrupt elites! Protect our Borders!, Fair Trade! Couldn’t have said it better!” he wrote. Trump on Thursday repeated his vows to build a wall with Mexico and keep immigrants out, especially those from countries “compromised by terrorism.” Duke has previously made waves in Trump’s campaign, having prompted a scandal with his endorsement in the spring. At that time, Trump was strangely reluctant to denounce the endorsement from a former KKK leader.
