Your iPhone5 is basically old-school at this point. After much speculation about Facebook’s new mobile project, the company has finally unveiled Home, a suite of apps and a home screen replacement for Android phones. The new interface places a heavy emphasis on full-screen photos, much like Facebook’s recent changes to its news feed feature on the Web. The new software replaces the lock screen with Cover Feed and prioritizes updates from people instead of apps. But the niftiest new feature is Chat Heads, Facebook’s messaging app that allows you to seamlessly communicate with friends without leaving whatever app you are currently using—like, say, Fandango or the New York Times. “We think this is the best version of Facebook there is,” Zuckerberg said. The software will be available through Play Store, Google’s app marketplace, starting April 12.
