Kim Family Disappearance, missing persons flyer

Police have issued a missing persons alert after a family-of-three vanished during a storm while leaving the Grand Canyon earlier this month. The Coconino County Sheriff’s Office shared a missing persons flyer on Facebook on March 19, seeking more information on Jiyeon Lee, 23, Taehee Kim, 69, and Junghee Kim, 64, who were last seen on March 13. The three were traveling in a 2024 white BMW with a California license plate from the national park to Las Vegas during “hazardous” weather conditions. “Law enforcement is aware of the large multi-vehicle accident that occurred on I40 on this day, however, it is not known if this vehicle was involved in the accident,” People reported officials as saying. On March 14, the Arizona Department of Public Safety issued a press release stating that the collision involved 22 vehicles, including 13 passenger vehicles, killing two people.
