The results of the FBI probe into the allegations of sexual misconduct against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh will be available to Senate officials Thursday morning, according to The Washington Post. Two sources familiar with the release told the Post that the results were due to arrive on Capitol Hill on Wednesday night and that the White House has already been briefed on the contents. Only one copy will be made available, which senators will be permitted to review in a sensitive compartmented information facility (SCIF). But even before the document is released to the full Senate, members of the Judiciary Committee are debating over its contents. On Tuesday, the committee tweeted: “Nowhere in any of these six FBI reports, which the committee has reviewed on a bipartisan basis, was there ever a whiff of ANY issue—at all—related in any way to inappropriate sexual behavior or alcohol abuse,” a characterization that the majority of Democrats on the committee called “not accurate.”
