The Food and Drug Administration has approved a drug that works to reduce double-chin fat. The injectable drug comes from a Westlake Village, Calif.-based company called Kythera Biopharmaceuticals Inc., which claims that that the drug—which will be sold under the brand name Kybella—has proven both safe and effective in clinical studies. “For the first time, people have access to an FDA-approved, non-surgical treatment” for double chins, Kaith Leonard, chief executive for Kythera said.
