FDA: BPA Unsafe for Kids

Found in CDs, bottles, bike helmets.

To wear a bike helmet or to not wear a bike helmet? Seems like an easy answer, except now the FDA is saying that the chemical Bisphenol A (BPA), which is used to harden plastic in products like bike helmets, bottles, CDs, and sunglasses, might not be safe for young children. A 2008 report from the National Toxicology Program said that BPA was of “some concern for effects on the brain, behavior, and prostate gland in fetuses, infants, and children at current human exposures."
