Back on the campaign trail for Hillary Clinton in Charlotte, North Carolina on Tuesday, First Lady Michelle Obama hit Donald Trump for his latest 3 a.m. Twitter meltdown, this time urging his followers to “check out” a nonexistent “sex tape” of former Miss Universe Alicia Machado. Arguing that we need someone who’s “steady” and “measured” as commander-in-chief, Obama said “a president can’t just pop off or lash out irrationally.” She added, “I think we can all agree that someone who’s roaming around at 3 a.m. tweeting should not have their fingers on the nuclear codes.” The first lady also criticized Trump for avoiding paying taxes for nearly two decades, saying, “That doesn’t make you smarter than the rest of us.” In a similar setting last month, Obama called Trump out for his history of birtherism against her husband.
