Five Below Stores Raises Prices to $10 on Some Items

The company says it’s gotten positive and negative reaction to the change.

The retail chain Five Below—so named because everything in the store is $5 or less—is now selling items for up to $10. The company says it has no plans to change the name of the store and the higher-priced items, mostly tech and toys, will be in a section of the store called Ten Below. “We’ve already received tons of feedback—some positive, some negative, all passionate,” the retailer said in a statement to customers.
