Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley has agreed to give Christine Blasey Ford another day to decide whether or not she’ll testify against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh before Congress. Grassley tweeted the news late Friday night, saying he’d granted “another extension” to Ford, the woman who has accused Kavanaugh of sexually assaulting her several decades ago. She was given until 2:30 p.m. to announce a decision, according to CNN. The committee had earlier given Ford a deadline of 10 p.m. on Friday, but her attorney requested more time. “The 10:00 p.m. deadline is arbitrary,” Ford's lawyer, Debra Katz, wrote to the judiciary committee. “Its sole purpose is to bully Dr. Ford and deprive her of the ability to make a considered decision that has life-altering implications for her and her family. She has already been forced out of her home and continues to be subjected to harassment, hate mail, and death threats.”
