Alphons Iacobelli, a former Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV executive and top labor negotiator, has been charged in Detroit for violating the Labor Management Relations Act by giving $1.2 million in various gifts to a United Auto Workers vice president. Monica Morgan, the wife of the late General Holiefield, a UAW vice president, was also charged. The gifts included paying off a $262,219 mortgage on the couple's home, among other payments. Iacobelli retired from FCA in 2015 and most recently worked for General Motors Co.
