Former Fox News executive Bill Shine has accepted “a senior White House communications role,” according to ABC News. The network reported that a formal announcement about Shine’s new position could come by the end of the week. The New York Times reported Tuesday afternoon that Shine had been speaking to President Donald Trump about the White House communications director position, which has been vacant since Hope Hicks left the White House in March.
