Singer-songwriter Adam Schlesinger has died at 52 of the new coronavirus, Deadline reports. Schlesinger co-founded the band Fountains of Wayne, made famous by their 2003 hit song “Stacy’s Mom,” and his work also included songwriting, production, and sound engineering. He was nominated for an Oscar for writing the title track to the 1996 movie That Thing You Do, and he also won three Emmys and a Grammy. His is survived by two children, according to Deadline.
