A man allegedly shot and killed four people in a St. Louis area home Saturday morning and was arrested following a shootout with police hours later, according to the Associated Press. The shooting took place shortly after midnight at a residence just northwest of the city, in St. Charles. A motive of for the shooting is not clear. Three of the victims were discovered inside the home while the fourth person died at an area hospital, officials reportedly said. Police first intercepted the suspect when he tried driving away from the scene. He then fled on foot and stabbed a woman while trying to steal her car, officials alleged. When the suspect failed in stealing her car, he ran once again. He was ultimately captured at a convenience store about 7:30 a.m., police said.
