The host of Fox & Friends Weekend has a new purpose in life: Getting President Donald Trump to sign his personal bible. On Saturday, host Pete Hegseth, who has been floated for a job in the Trump administration, said he was inspired by Alabama residents who asked the president to sign their bibles during his trip to the state this week after a deadly tornado struck the area. “Do you have a new life goal? My new life goal is President Trump signs a bible that I own,” Hegseth said. “What in the world is wrong with this? Faith is so important. It’s central to so many people’s lives. You go through a tragedy. The President of the United States is there, he signs it. Good for you.” The co-hosts also admonished critics of Trump’s decision to sign the front cover of several bibles handed to him at an Alabama church. Former straight news journalist Ed Henry said media figures upset about the signings had “Trump derangement syndrome,” while Emily Compagno said critics were “mocking people of faith.”
