Fox Host Stuart Varney and Guest: Everyone Hates the Patriots Because of Racism

TODAY IN TRUMP TV

Varney agreed with Jason Whitlock’s race-based theory on why the NFL’s leading dynasty is so hated by fans of other teams.

Because we watch Trumpland TV so you don’t have to, today we learned that Fox Business host Stuart Varney’s “My Take” on Fox Nation featured FS1 host Jason Whitlock delivering his argument for why the New England Patriots—a team which has won the AFC title on average every other year this century—are so hated:

We're in this era of woke, and woke media, and super-liberal media, who love to prove how racially sensitive they are. And I think the New England Patriots are like the Duke basketball team under Mike Krzyzewski, that had been so dominant for so long, and the Duke basketball team featured a lot of white stars in a sport dominated by African-Americans. [...] I think some of that hate toward the Patriots is because Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, Julian Edelman, Chris Hogan, Bill Belichick, Robert Kraft... those are the guys you think of when you think of the New England Patriots, and that's unusual in the NFL.

“We’re on the same page, Jason. I think we agree here,” Varney replied.

(Yes, Tom Brady is white, like 81 percent of the starting quarterbacks in the NFL. Patriots owner Robert Kraft is not black; neither are the other 31 NFL team owners.)
