The Fox Business Network banned a guest from appearing on the air after he claimed on Lou Dobbs Tonight that Democratic donor George Soros was financing the migrant caravan headed to the U.S. border, The Los Angeles Times reports. Chris Farrell, director of the conservative activist group Judicial Watch, reportedly claimed that many people in the caravan are “getting money from the Soros-occupied State Department.” “If we’re going to start cutting money, start cutting money there,” Farrell said on Thursday’s episode of the show. The episode was then re-aired Saturday, and was slated to air four times on Sunday before the network pulled it.
Fox Business News Senior Vice President of Programming Gary Schreier said in a Sunday statement the network condemns Farrell’s “rhetoric.” A Fox Business Network representative also confirmed to the newspaper that Farrell will “not appear on the FBN or Fox News Channel in the future.” This comes after Lou Dobbs, one of the leading hosts of FBN, reportedly posted two tweets claiming explosive devices mailed to Soros and other prominent anti-Trump figures were part of “a hoax perpetuated by the Democrats.” The devices were allegedly sent by Cesar Sayoc, a Florida man who expressed support for President Trump. Dobbs’ tweets were reportedly removed after “generating major blowback” on Twitter.
