Fox News host Lisa Kennedy Montgomery, best known simply as Kennedy, criticized President Trump on Monday for suggesting that last week’s House Oversight Committee testimony by former Trump attorney Michael Cohen was to blame for the collapse of Trump’s second summit with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un.
“For the Democrats to interview in open hearings a convicted liar & fraudster, at the same time as the very important Nuclear Summit with North Korea, is perhaps a new low in American politics and may have contributed to the ‘walk,’” the president tweeted over the weekend. “Never done when a president is overseas. Shame!”
During an Outnumbered discussion on the president's assertion that the Cohen hearing played a part in the breakdown of talks on North Korean denuclearization, Fox News anchor Harris Faulkner teed up the libertarian Kennedy for her thoughts.

“I think that’s unnecessary and that it shows he’s thin-skinned and he needs to be able to separate the two,” replied Kennedy, who hosts an eponymous show on Fox Business Network.
She did, however, go on to claim that walking away from the table with North Korea actually “comes from a place of strength” and showed that the president “realizes the regime is entirely duplicitous.” Kennedy further noted that Trump “was much better off walking away from this deal” because it became obvious North Korea was talking out of “both sides of its mouth.”
While the president is now blaming the explosive Cohen testimony, which featured his former “fixer” saying that the president knew in advance that WikiLeaks would be releasing hacked emails damaging his 2016 presidential opponent, Trump said right after the aborted summit that he walked away due to a disagreement with Kim over economic sanctions.
