Full Tilt Poker has fired back at the U.S. Justice Department’ after it filed a civil case alleging that the online gambling site was a $444 million Ponzi scheme. “Under any reasonable interpretation, the worldwide operations of the online cardroom are not a so-called Ponzi scheme," Full Tilt’s lawyer said, though he conceded, "maybe it was mismanaged." The Justice Department claims the service used hundreds of millions of player money to pay its executives even as funds dwindled.
