George and Amal Clooney Announce Birth of Their Twins

Amal Clooney gave birth to twins, named Ella and Alexander, on Tuesday morning, her husband George’s spokesman announced, adding, “George is sedated and should recover in a few days.” George Clooney, twice-named sexiest man alive, met international human-rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin in 2013 and proposed to her the following year. The couple was first confirmed to be expecting in February. Though Clooney was previously married for four years to Talia Balsam, he is a first-time father. His spokesman further reports that mother and babies are “healthy, happy and doing fine.”
