George Lucas had an unusually over-the-top way of expressing his discontent with the Disney buyout of his company Lucasfilm in an interview with Charlie Rose. "I sold them to the white slavers that takes these things, and...," Lucas said of the deal before opting not to finish his sentence. He also specifically said he isn't pleased with the direction of the new film Star Wars: The Force Awakens, calling it "retro," saying, "I don’t like that. Every movie, I work very hard to make them completely different, with different planets, with different spaceships, make it new.” The filmmaker later apologized for the "slaver" comment.
