Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand fired back at President Trump for his Tuesday morning, innuendo-laced tweet suggesting the New York senator “would do anything for” political donations. Gillibrand is “someone who would come to my office ‘begging’ for campaign contributions not so long ago (and would do anything for them),” the president wrote about his Democratic critic. In response, Gillibrand said at a press conference: “It was a sexist smear attempting to silence my voice, and I will not be silenced on this issue. Neither will the women who stood up to the president yesterday.”
