Giuliani on Russia Probe: ‘They Don’t Have a Goddamn Thing’

Donald Trump is rapidly losing patience with special counsel Robert Mueller, according to Rudy Giuliani, and believes now is the time for his investigators into Russian election interference to publish their findings. “Why don’t you write a report and show us what you have, because they don’t have a goddamn thing,” Trump’s lawyer told Axios. “It’s like a guy playing poker. He’s bluffing and he’s only got a pair of twos.” Giuliani said Trump believes that “enough is enough,” but isn’t considering firing Mueller. The president unleashed a series of angry personal tweets about Mueller on Sunday evening, saying the two men had “a very nasty and contentious business relationship” and claiming that he turned down Mueller as a candidate to head the FBI. Giuliani also said that Trump feels sorry for his longtime attorney Michael Cohen, saying: “Even now with his betrayal by taping him, he still is worried about him because he believes he’s only hurting himself.”
