Four varieties of Goldfish Crackers have been recalled over fears they could potentially be carrying salmonella. No illnesses have been reported from the fishy crackers yet, but Pepperidge Farm took the action Monday after one of its ingredient suppliers said the whey powder used in a seasoning for crackers distributed in the U.S. could be contaminated. The four types of crackers named by the company are: Flavor Blasted Xtra Cheddar, Flavor Blasted Sour Cream & Onion, Goldfish Baked with Whole Grain Xtra Cheddar and Goldfish Mix Xtra Cheddar + Pretzel. A chart of all the types of recalled crackers has been posted on the company’s website. Pepperidge Farm said in a statement: “Consumers who have purchased these products should not eat them. Recalled product should be discarded or may be returned to the place of purchase for a full refund.”
