Mode magazine’s latest features editor is getting a demotion. ABC announced Wednesday that this will be the last year for Ugly Betty, the hour-long comedy starring America Ferrera as a young wannabe editor in New York City. Executive Producer Silvio Horta said “we are announcing now as we want to allow the show ample time to write a satisfying conclusion.” It remains to be seen whether Betty and her boss Daniel end up together, as the main characters did in the show’s original iteration, Colombian soap Betty la Fea.
