Florida Rep. Byron Donalds had a unique two-word response when expressing his enthusiasm for President-elect Donald Trump’s return: “Daddy’s back.” During an appearance on Fox & Friends Weekend Sunday morning, Donalds doubled-down on co-host Steve Doocy’s proposition that TikTok users might favor the president-elect if he manages to save the app within his first two weeks of presidency, and claimed there will be a lot more Americans will be thankful for. “When Americans see deportations or repatriations happen, they’re gonna be like ‘Thank you.’ When they see the border close, they’re gonna say ‘This is what I voted for,’” Donalds shared. “When they see peace starting to break out again around the world, they’re gonna be like ‘This is the stability that we were asking for,’” he continued. “Daddy’s back, and that’s what you’re gonna see.” Donalds has been one of Trump’s fiercest allies in the House of Representatives. Meanwhile, the president-elect has vowed to save TikTok and said he would issue an executive order to delay its federal ban.
