Gossip Girl’s Leighton Meester to Launch Fashion Line?

Considering the chic style of her on-screen persona Blair Waldorf, it’s no surprise that Gossip Girl star Leighton Meester is considering venturing into the fashion world with her own clothing line. “The more I think about it the more it sounds like something I would want to do,” the actress told Vogue UK. "I don't know if it'd be any time soon but I'd really like to work on a collaboration with somebody—I always have ideas for stuff like that. The problem is I always have so much admiration for so many designers and for so many different styles, it'd difficult to hone in on just one look but why not?" Citing Cate Blanchett and Helen Mirren as two of her style icons, Meester is clearly a fan of the classics. She also named Audrey Hepburn as her fashion role model. “I think everything she's worn on or off screen has become iconic, whether it's her hair, make-up, tiara or dress,” the 24-year-old star said of Hepburn. “Even her body type became a trend.”
