Donald Trump Jr.’s long-suffering fiancé Kimberly Guilfoyle could have a diplomatic incident on her manicured hands before she is even confirmed as ambassador to Greece.
Guilfoyle’s comments on a 2015 episode of Fox News’ The Five have resurfaced, in which she called Greek citizens “freeloaders” and suggested they relied too much on the government.
The remarks, reported by Media Matters senior fellow Matthew Getz, followed news that the country rejected a debt bailout package from the European Union.
In a rant directed at the Greeks, Guilfoyle told them that they need to “suck it up” and work more.
“Get up in the morning. Go to work. You guys are retiring too early,” she said of the Greeks to her co-hosts, which included Eric Bolling, Greg Gutfeld, and Juan Williams. “And that’s part of the problem. You have, like, politicians making out-of-control promises, buying votes with entitlements that they can’t support.”
She added, “It doesn’t matter if you made great yogurt. I don’t care.”
The problem with Greece’s debt crisis is “nobody is punishing,” like when a “dog pees on the rug,” Guilfoyle told her co-hosts.
She added, “Like train it.”
Since President-elect Donald Trump nominated Guilfoyle to be the U.S. representative in Greece, the country could be on the receiving end of more tough love from Guilfoyle once her stilettos officially land in the country. And with rumors that she has been literally sent packing so Don Jr. can fall in love with another woman in peace, Guilfoyle may be in no mood for diplomacy when she arrives.
