After being threatened by Republican Congressman Michael Grimm of Staten Island, NY1 reporter Michael Scotto says he will not press charges and that Grimm reportedly called him to apologize. On Tuesday night after being asked about campaign-finance investigations following the State of the Union, Grimm told Scotto, “You’re not a man. I could break you in half.” Grimm has been linked to an allegedly corrupt Israeli rabbi, and his ex-girlfriend has been indicted on charges of being a straw donor. When initially asked the question, Grimm responded, “I’m not speaking about anything that is off-topic. This is only about the president’s speech,” but then couldn’t help himself and continued, saying, “Let me be clear to you, you ever do that to me again I’ll throw you off this f——-g balcony.”
