Gunmen Storm Kabul Hotel, Hostages Reported

Multiple gunmen stormed Kabul’s Intercontinental Hotel on Saturday and began firing on guests, according to numerous reports. The attack on the five-star hotel—frequented by foreign visitors—comes after the U.S. Embassy warned extremists would likely target hotels in the area. Heavy gunfire was reported from inside the hotel, where between three and four gunmen were battling security forces after reportedly taking hostages.
