Maybe the feds aren’t quite done with their hacker prodigy. The Daily Beast exclusively learned on Wednesday that sentencing has been adjourned again for Sabu, the hacker turned FBI informant. Sabu, real name Hector Xavier Monsegur, was supposed to be sentenced in federal court on Wednesday but his date with the judge was postponed for at least the second time. The new sentencing date has not been announced yet. Sabu became infamous for bringing down other members of LulzSec, an elite group of hackers spun off from the Anonymous collective. His hacking work intensified after his arrest in 2011 when he turned informant, helped set up the capture of his LulzSec cohorts and, under the direction of the FBI, may have been used for cyber espionage operations against foreign governments. Whoever Lulz last, we guess.
