After 10 years, eight movies, and $6.4 billion at the international box office, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint spent their week attending premieres and doing red carpets for the last Harry Potter movie, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows—Part 2. During the decade of Quidditch matches, magical teen romances, and battling the nose-less Lord Voldemort, the franchise made the trio superstars. Though they now have careers far beyond these big-screen adaptations of J.K. Rowling’s beloved books, see the Radcliffe, Watson, Grint, and more from Potter premieres and events past, as well as their tear-filled final walk down the red carpet.

Yes, that’s Twilight god Robert Pattinson in the background of this cast photo from 2005 ( The Goblet of Fire also features Jason Isaacs, Ralph Fiennes, Miranda Richardson, and Brendan Gleeson). Though he started out humbly as Quidditch champ Cedric Diggory, Pattinson went on to tabloid fame as the star of the Stephenie Meyer franchise.

In 2007, Radcliffe took the starring role in Peter Shaffer’s Equus on London’s West End (he came to Broadway with it the following year), a dark drama about a boy with a psychological fascination with all things equine.

At the 2009 premiere of The Half-Blood Prince in New York, the cast (Freddie Stroma, Bonnie Wright, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, and Tom Felton) starts to show signs of adult glamour and post-Potter prosperity: Radcliffe was a Broadway star, Watson a professional model, and Grint was gearing up for Wild Target alongside Emily Blunt and Bill Nighy.

At the world premiere of Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part I in London in November 2010, Watson, Radcliffe, and Grint smiled for the cameras for the second to last Potter premiere. The whole cast wore poppies on the red carpet in honor of Rembrance Day in the U.K.

Radcliffe returned to the U.S. stage in 2011, but this time, the fare was lighter. The actor sang and danced in the Broadway musical How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying and even graced the Tonys this year.

Now 22-year-old Rupert Grint doesn't have to be worried about his post-Potter career. He has four films in the works for next year: Wartime Wanderer, Comrade, Eddie the Eagle, and Cross Country.

She's no longer the fresh-faced unknown ingenue.  Now 21-year-old Emma Watson has left her messy mop of hair behind her with a chic cropped look and a massive fashion following. At the photo call for Harry Potter and The Daily Hallows: Part 2 on July 6, her romantic Rafael Lopez cocktail dress turned heads and Watson will likely continue to do so with her upcoming roles in My Week with Marilyn, with Michelle Williams, and adaptation of The Perks of Being a Wallflower.

The last London Potter premiere had fans waiting for days to see Watson, Radcliffe, Grint and the rest of the wizardly cast walk the red carpet. Though many offered their final words before going inside to unveil Harry Potter and The Deathly Hollows: Part 2, author J.K. Rowling was particularly moving with her heart-felt speech. “The stories we love best live in our hearts forever,” the scribe said, bringing a fairytale-fit Emma Watson to tears in her Oscar de la Renta gown. “Whether you come back by page or by screen, Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home,” Rowling added.

A few years after she discussed her undergarments with the late-night host, Emma Watson sat down again with David Letterman on July 11 to talk about another taboo topic: alcohol. "I got very very drunk once in my life, as everyone does," the now-legal actress admitted. "I've got drunk, I've been drunk, and I'll bow to that."

As they arrived for the North American premiere of Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part 2 that same day in New York, Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe gave each other a hug. "I'm going to miss it so much," Watson told USA Today of the franchise's end. "There's a big hole to fill. Dan, Rupert and I have this amazing chemistry because we have years and years of history."

Alan Rickman, Tom Felton, Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and Matthew Lewis had a bittersweet celebration at the New York premiere of Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: Part 2 on July 11. "I've had such an amazing time on Potter, and it's been such an extraordinary experience," Radcliffe told Larry King. "It's actually the same group of people for 10 years. You develop such close bonds with so many people it feels odd that, although those bonds will still exist in the future, it feels very strange to not be going back to work with them next year."
