Harry Styles, the well-coiffed de facto ringleader of the top-selling boy band One Direction—and rumored ex-flame of Taylor Swift—reportedly has a new tall blonde in his crosshairs: Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence.
“He fell in love with Jennifer after watching her speech at the Oscars,” a friend of Harry’s told the Daily Star. “Harry likes goofy girls and thinks it’s hilarious that she fell over as she went to accept her award for ‘Best Actress.’ And obviously, like most men, he thinks she’s drop-dead gorgeous.”
On Oscar night, Styles tweeted, “Jennifer Lawrence needs to win an Oscar tonight…” and just yesterday finally saw her nominated film, and tweeted, “Just watched Silver Linings Playbook… I really liked it.”

Other (somewhat dubious) sources are claiming Styles has been chasing Lawrence for close to a year. In an interview about 11 months ago, Styles was asked his thoughts on The Hunger Games and responded, “The girl in it is hot...”
Lawrence recently split from her boyfriend of two years, Nicholas Hoult, who currently stars in Warm Bodies and Jack the Giant Slayer. The couple had met while filming 2011’s X-Men: First Class, and remain pals. Of the split, Hoult recently told The Daily Beast, “It’s tricky, because you’re all over the place,” he says. “We were shooting Mad Max: Fury Road for seven months in Namibia, so you’re never really in one place, and when you are, they’re strange places that are difficult to get to. I wouldn’t change it, because you’re very fortunate to travel, meet new people, and embark on these new experiences, but it’s not great for that side of things.”
These new reports about Lawrence come just as Styles’s alleged ex, Taylor Swift, recently opened up a bit about her love life—and Styles. In an upcoming cover story for Vanity Fair, Swift—in a strange move—“commissioned an anonymous source” to discuss her Styles fling with the magazine.
“The whole time [during the relationship] she says she feels like he’s looking at every girl,” the unnamed person Swift authorized said, adding that once when Swift was over in London with Styles, he “disappear[ed] one night and after that it was like he just didn’t want to keep going.” (Styles’s rep has called these claims “undeniably false.”)
This isn’t the first time Styles, 19, has come under attack from Swift, 23.
At the Grammy Awards ceremony, Swift opened up her performance of breakup ballad “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” with a little message:
“So he calls me up and he's like, ‘I still love you,’ and I'm like, ‘I'm sorry, I'm busy opening up the Grammys,’” she deadpanned, using a British accent in a nod towards Styles. “And we're never getting back together, like, ever."
