A U.S. Navy helicopter crashed Friday on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan, injuring 12 sailors, officials said. The Navy’s 7th Fleet said in a statement that the MH-60 Seahawk crashed shortly after takeoff while the carrier was off the Philippine coast. The cause of the crash, which was reported to have happened during an emergency landing, was unknown. The Navy said the ship was fully capable to continue operations in the Indo-Pacific region. USS Ronald Reagan participated in the international naval review hosted off the South Korean island of Jeju last week.
