Barack Obama just released his summer playlist—and just like those that came before it, he says it’s an interesting mix of genres and eras. He dropped the tracks via a post on X, writing: “With summer winding down, I wanted to share some songs that I’ve been listening to lately – and it wouldn’t be my playlist if it didn’t include an eclectic mix. I hope you find something new to listen to!” Obama kicks off the list with the viral classic “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” by Shaboozey. The song has taken over TikTok and sparked a line dancing craze. Also on his list is “365” by British pop star and brat summer phenomenon Charli XCX. In addition to these newer tunes, Obama included a fair share of throwbacks from artists like Etta James, The Supremes, The Rolling Stones, and Bob Dylan. Gen Z favorites Billie Eilish, H.E.R., Saweetie, and WILLOW also made the cut. Last but not least, Beyoncé’s “Texas Hold ‘Em” earned a spot. In addition to music lovers, Obama also reached out to bookworms by releasing his summer reading list.
